2 hospitalized after fire erupts at LG Twin Tower in Seoul


A fire broke out at the LG Twin Tower in Seoul early Friday, leaving two people hospitalized, officials said.

The blaze occurred on the 27th floor of the 34-story building in Seoul’s Yeouido district at 1:32 a.m., according to fire services.

Fourteen people inside the building fled to safety, and two people were taken to a hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire service mobilized 84 personnel and 24 vehicles on the scene to completely put out the fire about an hour later.

Police and firefighter authorities are looking into the exact cause of the blaze.
