IPOH, The Rahmah Sales programme in Perak has benefited 420,000 consumers with a sales value exceeding RM8.5 million since its implementation in January.
Director of the Perak branch of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Datuk Kamalludin Ismail said the programme was implemented in 310 selected locations in 59 state constituencies.
"The public can get the latest information on the locations of the programme through the official Facebook and TikTok accounts of Perak KPDN.
"We are doing it in stages in all constituencies. The programme will be carried out twice a month in each constituency, if there is demand, we may organise more programmes," he told reporters here today.
Meanwhile, Kamalludin said the ministry had not received any complaints about the unreasonable increase in the price of chicken after the price control was lifted on Nov 1.
He added that enforcement officers are conducting daily monitoring at all business premises that sell the item.
