LG Electronics Q2 operating profit up 61.2 pct to 1.19 tln won

LG Electronics Inc. on Friday estimated its second-quarter operating earnings at 1.19 trillion won (US$868.1 million), up 61.2 percent from a year earlier.Revenue increased 8.5 percent to 21.7 trillion won. The data for net income was not available.The operating profit was 14.3 percent higher than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.The company will release its final earnings report later.Source: Yonhap News Agency
