Hyundai Mobis Q2 net income up 7 pct to 997.7 bln won

Hyundai Mobis Co. on Friday reported its second-quarter net income of 997.7 billion won (US$720.1 million), up 7 percent from a year earlier.The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 636.1 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 663.8 billion won a year ago. Revenue fell 6.6 percent to 14.65 trillion won.The earnings exceeded market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 977.3 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.Source: Yonhap News Agency
