NCSOFT Q2 net profit up 132.8 pct to 71.1 bln won

NCSOFT Corp. on Monday reported its second-quarter net profit of 71.1 billion won (US$51.9 million), up 132.8 percent from a year earlier.The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 8.8 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 35.3 billion won a year ago. Sales fell 16.2 percent to 368.9 billion won.The earnings exceeded market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 7.1 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.Source: Yonhap News Agency
