Pyongyang: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has called for an unlimited expansion of the country's nuclear forces and the completion of war preparations, amidst what he describes as increased "frantic" military confrontations with North Korea, state media reported on Monday.According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim made these remarks during the 4th Conference of Battalion Commanders and Political Instructors of the Korean People's Army (KPA) held on Friday. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that Kim set forth a militant slogan for the armed forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), urging them to concentrate all efforts on finalizing war preparations in line with the demands of the revolution and current circumstances.The statement from Kim coincides with a trilateral summit held by the leaders of South Korea, the United States, and Japan on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Peru on Friday. During this summit, the leaders condemned North Korea 's troop deployment to Russia to support Moscow's war with Ukraine.
