The adoption of these new carriers is expected to significantly reduce emissions, cutting carbon dioxide by 30 percent and nitrogen oxide emissions by 85 percent. Additionally, sulfur oxides and fine dust emissions will be reduced by 99 percent. The global shipping industry is increasingly transitioning to eco-friendly vessels powered by LNG, methanol, and ammonia, in response to international regulations on carbon emissions.
