Seoul: Seven out of ten South Koreans are in favor of impeaching President Yoon Suk Yeol following his brief declaration of martial law, which has led to significant political upheaval and market instability.According to Yonhap News Agency, a survey conducted by Realmeter on Wednesday involving 504 individuals aged 18 or older revealed that 73.6 percent of respondents support President Yoon's impeachment. The opposition lawmakers have submitted an impeachment motion, arguing that Yoon's actions were unconstitutional and breached several laws during the emergency martial law declaration on Tuesday night, which was subsequently lifted about six hours later.The survey further indicated that 70 percent of respondents believe Yoon's actions might amount to treason, while 25 percent disagreed. The poll's margin of error stands at plus or minus 4.4 percentage points, with a 95 percent confidence level.
