SEOUL: The KOSPI 200 index presented a mixed outcome in its latest trading session, with notable fluctuations in stock prices among major companies. While several firms experienced significant gains, others saw declines, reflecting the dynamic nature of the market.According to Yonhap News Agency, among the top performers, Ottogi saw an impressive increase, with its stock price climbing by 7,000 to reach 414,500. SK hynix followed with a rise of 4,300, settling at 176,100, and Kumyang witnessed a gain of 3,300, reaching 24,100. Samsung SDI CO., LTD. also reported an uptick of 6,500, bringing its price to 255,000. Other companies such as DOOSAN and POSCO Holdings saw notable increases of 23,000 and 2,000, respectively.Conversely, several companies faced declines. CJ saw a decrease of 1,400 in its stock price, resulting in a closing value of 95,600. KPIC experienced a drop of 600, ending at 80,600, and KEPCO's stock fell by 300 to 21,150. LS and DL also reported declines, with their values decreasing by 400 and 500, respectively.The trading session highlighted the volatile nature of the market, as some companies benefited from positive shifts, while others encountered downturns. Despite the mixed performance, the KOSPI 200 index remains a crucial indicator of economic trends in South Korea.
