South Korean Bond Yields Experience Decline Across Various Tenors

Seoul: South Korean bond yields experienced a decline across various tenors on the morning of January 16, 2025. The yield on the 1-year Treasury Bond (TB) decreased to 2.627% from the previous session's 2.653%, marking a change of -2.6 basis points. Similarly, the 2-year TB yield fell to 2.666% from 2.727%, reflecting a decrease of 6.1 basis points.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 3-year TB yield also showed a decline, dropping to 2.609% from 2.675%, a change of -6.6 basis points. The 10-year TB yield decreased to 2.801% from 2.860%, a shift of -5.9 basis points. In the Monetary Stabilization Bonds (MSB) market, the 2-year MSB yield fell to 2.614% from 2.674%, a change of -6.0 basis points.

Corporate bonds also saw yield reductions. The 3-year Corporate Bond (AA-) yield decreased to 3.270% from 3.315%, reflecting a change of -4.5 basis points. These shifts in bond yields are indicative of broader market movements and investor sentiment.
