Seoul: The latest KOSPI 200 closing prices reveal a mixed performance among key stocks, with notable gains and losses across various sectors. KT and G saw a significant increase, closing at 105,800, up by 1,200. Meanwhile, Samsung Card remained unchanged at 40,250.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the telecommunications company KT experienced a slight decline, closing at 46,000, down by 50. LG Uplus and LG Display also faced a downturn, with their prices dropping to 9,990 and 8,950, respectively. Samsung Life saw a more pronounced decrease, ending at 85,800, down by 2,300.
Conversely, Kangwonland experienced an increase, closing at 16,850, up by 190. In the technology sector, NAVER's price decreased to 204,500, while Kakao remained steady at 36,450. KIWOOM saw an upswing, closing at 123,700, with a gain of 1,700.
The energy sector showed varied results, with Kogas staying unchanged at 36,450. Samsung F and M Insurance faced a decrease, closing at 355,000, down by 3,000, whereas Hanwha Ocean saw a significant rise, closing at 54,700, up by 2,900.
In the industrial sector, HD Hyundai Infracore increased slightly to 7,300, while HANMISemi saw a substantial rise, closing at 113,600, up by 5,500. Meanwhile, NCsoft remained unchanged at 177,700.
The travel and cosmetic sectors also showed movement, with HANATOUR SERVICE increasing to 54,300 and COSMAX remaining steady at 168,200. KEPCO KPS showed a notable gain, closing at 45,750, up by 1,400.
LG H and H and LGCHEM exhibited contrasting results, with LG H and H increasing to 297,500, while LGCHEM saw a significant decline, closing at 240,500, down by 12,000. In the financial sector, Shinhan Group and Meritz Financial faced declines, whereas BNK Financial Group and DGB Financial Group showed gains.
Retail giant emart experienced a decline, closing at 65,500, while Dentium also saw a decrease. HANKOOK TIRE and TECHNOLOGY and KOLMAR KOREA both closed higher, with increases to 39,900 and 62,400, respectively. JB Financial Group and TKG Huchems also saw gains.
PIAM faced a slight decrease, closing at 18,410, while HANJINKAL and CHONGKUNDANG experienced modest increases. The diverse movements across sectors indicate a fluctuating market environment for the KOSPI 200.
