Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed results, with several companies witnessing significant changes in their stock prices. Among the notable performers, DOOSAN and SKSQUARE saw substantial increases, while KumhoPetrochem and OCI recorded notable declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, DOOSAN's stock surged by 29,500, reaching a closing price of 325,500. SKSQUARE also experienced a significant rise, with its stock increasing by 4,700 to close at 100,700. Other companies such as Mobis and SAMSUNG C and T also saw their stock prices climb, with increases of 3,000 and 3,200, respectively.
Conversely, KumhoPetrochem faced a decline, with its stock decreasing by 3,400 to settle at 106,300. OCI also saw a decrease, with its stock falling by 2,000 to close at 68,700. Additionally, S-1 and DONGSUH experienced downward trends, with their stock prices dropping by 1,100 and 950, respectively.
The day also saw HMM and HyundaiElev making gains, with HMM's stock rising by 1,120 to reach 19,170, and HyundaiElev increasing by 1,700 to close at 52,700. Meanwhile, SamsungSecu's stock price rose by 500, closing at 44,700.
In contrast, companies like HANWHA AEROSPACE and SKTelecom experienced declines. HANWHA AEROSPACE's stock decreased by 500 to 389,000, while SKTelecom fell by 400 to close at 54,500. Similarly, KOREA AEROSPACE and KT both saw their stock prices decrease, with declines of 600 and 450, respectively.
Despite the mixed results, several companies maintained their stock prices, including LG Innotek and PanOcean, which saw no change in their closing prices.
