Seoul: The KOSPI 200, a crucial benchmark for South Korea's main stock exchange, exhibited mixed movements in its closing prices on Wednesday. Several companies witnessed gains, while others experienced declines or remained unchanged. Notably, HYOSUNG HEAVY recorded a significant increase of 40,000 KRW, closing at 506,000 KRW.
According to Yonhap News Agency, ORION saw a slight decline of 100 KRW, ending at 98,400 KRW. Meanwhile, ILJIN HYSOLUS marked a small increase, closing at 16,340 KRW, up by 10 KRW. HANWHA SYSTEMS decreased by 350 KRW to finish at 25,700 KRW, and APR rose by 150 KRW to reach 49,700 KRW.
LOTTE WELLFOOD experienced a decrease of 1,000 KRW, closing at 102,600 KRW, whereas CheilWorldwide saw an increase of 100 KRW, settling at 16,990 KRW. BGF Retail faced a decline of 3,000 KRW, closing at 102,600 KRW, and kakaopay slightly decreased by 50 KRW to close at 25,550 KRW.
Several other companies showed positive trends. SKCHEM rose by 200 KRW to 42,050 KRW, and HYOSUNG TNC increased by 7,500 KRW to 234,500 KRW. LG Energy Solution also saw a rise, closing at 360,000 KRW, up by 5,500 KRW.
In contrast, HD HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES faced a significant drop of 13,000 KRW, closing at 314,000 KRW, while SamsungF and MIns decreased by 10,500 KRW to 344,500 KRW. Meanwhile, SK hynix experienced an increase of 7,500 KRW, closing at 225,500 KRW, and HyundaiEng and Const rose by 2,350 KRW to 28,450 KRW.
Other notable movements included KIA CORP.'s increase of 2,000 KRW to 103,000 KRW and DL E and C's rise of 1,100 KRW to 31,700 KRW. Hanwha also saw a positive change, closing at 31,150 KRW, up by 1,850 KRW.
