Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showcased a mixed performance with several companies experiencing significant changes in their stock prices. Among the notable decliners, Hanwha Ocean saw the largest drop, with its stock decreasing by 1,800 to close at 52,900. Other companies such as Samsung Life, which fell by 600 to 85,200, and NAVER, which decreased by 500 to 204,000, also contributed to the downward trend.
According to Yonhap News Agency, despite these declines, several companies recorded impressive gains. LGCHEM led the pack with an increase of 5,500, closing at 246,000. HYUNDAIGLOVIS followed closely, rising by 5,200 to reach 133,100. Additionally, DAEEWOONG PHARM witnessed an increase of 9,600, ending at 140,900, marking a significant upward shift.
Other companies that saw their stock prices increase include LG H and H, which rose by 3,500 to 301,000, and SK Innovation, with a gain of 3,300 to close at 127,900. Meanwhile, HD Hyundai Infracore and KEPCO KPS also experienced gains, with their prices rising by 660 to 7,960 and by 800 to 46,550, respectively.
The varied performance of the KOSPI 200 index reflects the dynamic nature of the market, with investors witnessing both gains and losses across different sectors.
