South Korean Bond Yields Experience Modest Changes

Seoul: South Korean bond yields showed slight movements across various maturities on January 23, 2025, reflecting changes in market dynamics. The yield on the 1-year Treasury Bond increased by 0.8 basis points to 2.632% from the previous session's 2.624%. Similarly, the 2-year Treasury Bond yield rose by 1.7 basis points to 2.663%, while the 3-year Treasury Bond saw a marginal increase of 0.1 basis points, reaching 2.578%.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 10-year Treasury Bond yield experienced an increase of 1.0 basis point, climbing to 2.837% from 2.827%. In contrast, the yield on the 2-year Monetary Stabilization Bond increased slightly by 0.4 basis points to 2.638%.

Conversely, the 3-year Corporate Bond rated AA- witnessed a slight decrease, with its yield falling by 0.9 basis points to 3.218% from the previous 3.227%. The yield on the 91-day Certificate of Deposit remained unchanged at 3.030%.
