Busan: A U.S. nuclear-powered submarine made its way to a prominent southeastern naval base in South Korea on Monday. The purpose of the visit is to replenish supplies and provide rest for the submarine's crew members, as stated by South Korea's Navy.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the USS Alexandria, a Los Angeles-class attack submarine, docked at the naval base in Busan, located approximately 320 kilometers southeast of Seoul, earlier in the day. The arrival of the submarine is part of ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between the South Korean and U.S. navies and to strengthen their combined defense capabilities.
This visit follows a similar event three months ago when the Los Angeles-class USS Columbia visited the same southeastern naval base for comparable purposes in November. The recurring visits underline the commitment to maintaining a robust defense partnership between the two nations.
