Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced varied movements at the close of Tuesday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange, with numerous companies posting gains while others saw declines. The fluctuations reflected a mixed market sentiment, influencing diverse sectors.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Engineering and Construction saw an increase of 700 KRW, closing at 32,700 KRW. Hanwha also reported a significant rise, closing at 32,500 KRW, up by 2,200 KRW. Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance ended the session at 367,500 KRW, marking an increase of 1,500 KRW.
On the downside, Kogas experienced a slight decrease, closing at 30,050 KRW, down by 50 KRW. HANALL BIOPHARMA faced a more substantial decline, ending at 39,650 KRW, a decrease of 2,600 KRW. SK hynix, in contrast, saw its stock rise by 1,600 KRW, closing at 199,700 KRW.
Hankook and Company recorded an increase of 160 KRW, finishing at 15,860 KRW. Meanwhile, KIA Corp. experienced a downturn, closing at 93,800 KRW, down by 800 KRW. Hanwha Solutions ended the day at 20,450 KRW, up by 560 KRW.
Youngone Holdings reported a decrease, closing at 83,100 KRW, down by 900 KRW. OCI Holdings and LS Electric both saw gains, closing at 80,500 KRW and 213,000 KRW, up by 3,500 KRW and 4,500 KRW, respectively. KorZinc's stock rose significantly, closing at 789,000 KRW, an increase of 29,000 KRW.
Samsung Heavy Industries and HD Hyundai MIPO both recorded increases, closing at 12,700 KRW and 108,800 KRW, up by 110 KRW and 400 KRW, respectively. S-Oil concluded the session at 58,800 KRW, increasing by 400 KRW.
LG Innotek experienced a notable rise, closing at 161,800 KRW, up by 8,800 KRW. Conversely, Samsung SDS saw a decrease, closing at 125,500 KRW, down by 800 KRW. SK Telecom ended at 56,000 KRW, marking an increase of 1,000 KRW.
SK and POSCO DX experienced opposite trends, with SK rising by 2,300 KRW to close at 143,600 KRW, while POSCO DX fell by 90 KRW to 19,100 KRW. Lotte Shopping saw an increase, closing at 55,900 KRW, up by 700 KRW.
