Seoul: Celltrion Inc. on Tuesday reported its fourth-quarter net income of 235.6 billion won (US$164.7 million). The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 196.4 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 18.4 billion won a year ago. Revenue rose 178 percent to 1.06 trillion won.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the earnings exceeded market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 189.5 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
