Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mix of gains and declines as several companies saw their stock prices fluctuate. Among the notable performances, NCsoft and COSMAX recorded significant upticks, while Hanwha Ocean experienced a notable decline.
According to Yonhap News Agency, NCsoft's stock price increased by 2,700 to close at 164,300. COSMAX also saw a substantial rise, with its shares climbing 13,000 to reach 184,300. These gains were part of a broader upward trend for several companies, including CJ CheilJedang, which gained 14,500 to close at 257,500, and SamyangFood, which saw an increase of 34,000 to end at 927,000.
In contrast, Hanwha Ocean's shares fell by 800 to close at 79,700. Other companies that saw declines included HANMISemi, which dropped by 3,700 to 87,300, and POSCO INTERNATIONAL, with a decrease of 2,600 to 58,400. Despite these declines, several companies experienced positive movements, including LG H and H, which increased by 2,000 to 318,500, and LGCHEM, which rose by 2,500 to 233,000.
Additional notable performers included LIG Nex1 with a significant rise of 17,500 to close at 320,500, and ShinhanGroup, which gained 1,700 to reach 46,350. Meanwhile, Foosung experienced a decrease of 115 to 4,475, and SK Innovation saw a slight decline of 200 to 126,500. The mixed movements in the KOSPI 200 index reflect the varied performance across different sectors and companies.
