Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks closed with varied performances on Wednesday at the Korea Stock Exchange. While some stocks experienced declines, others saw gains, reflecting a mixed day in the market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, key movers included HyundaiEng and Const, which closed at 34,450 KRW, down by 400 KRW, and SamsungF and MIns, which ended at 359,500 KRW, decreasing by 13,000 KRW. HANALL BIOPHARMA also saw a dip, closing at 29,400 KRW, down by 750 KRW. In contrast, Kogas experienced a minor rise, closing at 36,300 KRW, up by 100 KRW, while Hanwha increased by 450 KRW to close at 42,750 KRW.
Other notable performances included CJ, which rose significantly by 3,200 KRW to reach 126,500 KRW, and SeAH Steel Holdings, which saw an increase of 9,500 KRW, closing at 243,500 KRW. Hyundai M and F INS, however, decreased slightly, closing at 22,900 KRW, down by 50 KRW.
Additionally, SKBP saw a decline of 3,300 KRW, ending at 104,100 KRW. On the other hand, POSCO FUTURE M closed at 138,500 KRW, marking an increase of 2,800 KRW. Meanwhile, TaekwangInd recorded a significant rise of 9,000 KRW, closing at 700,000 KRW.
The trading day also saw MiwonComcl rising by 1,500 KRW to 185,400 KRW, while SamyangFood declined by 5,000 KRW to close at 872,000 KRW. LG Corp. experienced a slight drop, ending at 67,200 KRW, down by 300 KRW.
Overall, the trading session reflected a mixed trend with various stocks showing gains and losses, highlighting the dynamic nature of the market on this particular day.
