Seoul: GM Korea Co., the South Korean unit of General Motors Co., announced on Tuesday that its sales plunged by 19.7 percent in March compared to the previous year, citing weak demand as the primary reason for the decline. The company reported selling 41,244 vehicles last month, a significant drop from the 51,388 units sold in March 2024.
According to Yonhap News Agency, overseas sales experienced a 19.3 percent year-on-year decrease, resulting in 39,847 units sold. Meanwhile, domestic sales witnessed an even sharper decline, plummeting 31.5 percent to 1,397 units. The Trax Crossover sport utility vehicle (SUV) emerged as the leader in monthly sales, with 12,531 units sold overseas and 1,097 units sold in the domestic market.
