Seoul: KG Mobility Corp., a South Korean carmaker, announced it has added the Actyon sport utility vehicle (SUV) to its lineup in Germany. This move is part of the company's strategy to increase sales in the European market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, this marks the second time KG Mobility has launched the Actyon SUV in an overseas market, following its introduction in Turkey earlier this year. The company currently offers a range of vehicles in Germany, including the Musso Sport, Rexton, Tivoli, and Korando SUVs. Germany is home to several luxury car manufacturers, such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
KG Mobility plans to gradually introduce more models in Germany, including the Musso electric vehicle (EV) and the gasoline hybrid version of the Torres SUV, following the launch of the Actyon SUV. Last year, the company established a subsidiary in Germany to handle marketing, sales, and customer services for local customers.
The company aims to sell 5,000 vehicles in Germany this year, a significant increase from the 2,186 units sold in 2024. KG Mobility's lineup includes the Actyon, Tivoli, Korando, Rexton, Torres, all-electric Torres EVX SUV, Musso Sports pickup, and Musso EV pickup. The Torres EVX and Musso EV pickup are equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery system, allowing them to travel more than 420 kilometers and 400 kilometers, respectively, on a single charge.
In the first quarter of the year, KG Mobility sold a total of 25,589 vehicles globally, a decrease of 12.7 percent from the previous year. Domestic sales fell by 33 percent to 8,184 units, while exports increased by 1.7 percent to 17,405 units.
