KOSPI 200 Sees Significant Declines Across Multiple Sectors

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced notable declines with several major companies reporting decreases in their closing prices. Meritz Financial, BNK Financial Group, and DGB Financial Group were among the financial entities witnessing a downturn, with Meritz Financial closing at 111,700 won, down 6,700 won. BNK Financial Group ended at 9,450 won, a decrease of 500 won, while DGB Financial Group closed at 8,670 won, down by 340 won.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the consumer sector also faced challenges, with emart closing at 86,000 won, a drop of 2,400 won. KOLMAR KOREA saw a decline, closing at 64,500 won, down 3,700 won. Retail giant BGF Retail closed at 108,000 won, down 500 won. The technology sector was not spared, as Samsung Biologics closed at 1,008,000 won, a decrease of 61,000 won, and KRAFTON saw a significant drop, closing at 362,000 won, down 10,000 won.

In the energy and industrial sectors, HD HYUNDAI and its subsidiary HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC reported declines, with HD HYUNDAI closing at 67,600 won, down 4,000 won, and HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC at 265,000 won, down 38,000 won. Doosan Bobcat and Doosan Robotics also faced downturns, with closing prices at 43,000 won and 41,600 won, respectively.

The entertainment and media sector registered losses as well, with HYBE closing at 231,500 won, down 14,500 won. Netmarble and KakaoBank also ended the day in negative territory, closing at 39,550 won and 20,950 won, respectively.

The declines were widespread across various sectors, reflecting a challenging trading environment on the KOSPI 200 index.
