KOSPI 200 Sees Broad Declines in Key Stocks

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a significant decline in the closing prices of several key stocks today, indicating a downward trend across various sectors. The market was characterized by a series of losses for major companies, with only a few exceptions.

According to Yonhap News Agency, SLCORP closed at 30,500, a decrease of 700 points. Yuhan experienced a drop of 3,200 points, closing at 101,800. Samsung Electronics saw a decrease of 500 points, settling at 53,000. NHIS fell by 530 points to close at 12,200, while LS dropped by a substantial 3,600 points to 96,500. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries also reported a decline, closing at 293,500, down by 1,000 points.

GC Corp ended the day at 112,800, a decrease of 5,200 points. GS E and C saw a decline of 360 points, closing at 15,340. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. fell by 4,600 points to 171,700, and KPIC dropped by 5,500 points to 76,200. Mirae Asset Securities recorded a decrease of 180 points, closing at 8,500.

Further losses were observed with SKC closing at 88,700, a drop of 3,200 points, and GS Retail decreasing by 390 points to 13,930. Ottogi and YoulchonChem also saw declines, closing at 382,000 and 21,400, down by 10,000 and 850 points, respectively. Hyosung Heavy Industries experienced a steep decline, ending at 382,500, down by 20,000 points.

On a positive note, Hanmi Science and Kogas were among the few companies to see an increase. Hanmi Science rose by 300 points to close at 27,050, and Kogas increased by 1,200 points, ending at 33,700. HDKSOE also saw a positive movement, closing at 195,500, up by 3,600 points.

Overall, the market showed a general downturn with more companies experiencing losses than gains, reflecting a challenging day for the KOSPI 200 index.
