Seoul: Thursday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange saw significant gains for several KOSPI 200 stocks, reflecting an active market environment.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KB Financial Group experienced a notable increase, closing at 75,900 KRW, up by 5,000 KRW. HD Hyundai Electric also saw a substantial rise, closing at 314,000 KRW, marking an increase of 45,000 KRW. Kakao ended the day at 40,000 KRW, up by 2,850 KRW.
In other movements, SamaAlum rose by 3,200 KRW, ending at 23,900 KRW, while LG Energy Solution closed at 349,500 KRW, up by 35,500 KRW. YoulchonChem's price increased by 2,400 KRW, ending at 23,800 KRW. HYOSUNG HEAVY saw a significant jump, closing at 432,000 KRW, up by 49,500 KRW.
Doosan Enerbility's stock price climbed by 2,000 KRW to end at 22,150 KRW. Meanwhile, Doosanfc closed at 13,640 KRW, an increase of 870 KRW, and KT finished at 48,200 KRW, rising by 1,850 KRW.
YoungoneHoldings and CJ also performed well, with YoungoneHoldings rising by 5,300 KRW to close at 90,000 KRW and CJ increasing by 4,200 KRW to end at 121,100 KRW. LX INT and KPIC saw gains of 950 KRW and 11,000 KRW, closing at 25,100 KRW and 87,200 KRW, respectively.
Other notable movements included SKC, which rose by 8,400 KRW to close at 97,100 KRW, and HyundaiMtr, which increased by 9,000 KRW to end at 187,000 KRW. SamyangFood experienced a significant rise, closing at 880,000 KRW, up by 86,000 KRW.
