Seoul: Samsung SDS Co. on Thursday announced its first-quarter net income of 217.7 billion won (US$152.3 million), reflecting a 0.4 percent increase from the previous year. The company's financial results were disclosed in a regulatory filing, highlighting a notable performance for the quarter.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung SDS reported an operating profit of 268.5 billion won, up from 225.9 billion won in the same period last year. The company's revenue experienced a growth of 7.5 percent, reaching 3.48 trillion won.
The operating profit surpassed expectations by 17.7 percent, as per a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data division of Yonhap News Agency. The survey did not provide an estimate for net profit.
