Seoul: The KOSPI 200, a key index representing the Korean stock market, saw a range of closing price movements on Tuesday. Notable among these were gains in several major companies, while some experienced declines or remained unchanged.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HITEJINRO's stock price increased by 80 Korean Won (KRW) to close at 19,260 KRW. HANKOOK and COMPANY saw a rise of 150 KRW, ending the day at 15,190 KRW. DL's stock price jumped by 400 KRW, reaching 32,900 KRW. Among the more significant gains, DOOSAN surged by 10,500 KRW, closing at 316,000 KRW, and Yuhan went up by 1,200 KRW to 114,200 KRW.
On the other hand, CJ LOGISTICS experienced a decrease of 500 KRW, bringing its closing price to 82,400 KRW. SK hynix saw a drop of 1,200 KRW to 180,800 KRW, while Hanwha fell by 1,850 KRW, closing at 47,350 KRW. HyundaiEng and Const and SamsungElec both saw no change in their stock prices, ending the day at 41,150 KRW and 55,800 KRW, respectively.
Significant gains were also noted for KIA CORP., which increased by 1,900 KRW to 90,600 KRW. SamsungF and MIns rose by 5,000 KRW, reaching a closing price of 369,000 KRW. Among other notable movements, Nongshim's stock price increased by 11,500 KRW to 405,500 KRW, and LS climbed by 6,400 KRW to 132,400 KRW. Meanwhile, HyundaiMtr saw a gain of 3,800 KRW, closing at 192,800 KRW.
Despite these increases, some stocks experienced declines. POSCO FUTURE M dropped by 100 KRW to 130,100 KRW, and Shinsegae fell by 1,200 KRW, closing at 154,200 KRW. Additionally, TCC STEEL saw a decrease of 100 KRW, ending the day at 20,700 KRW.
The varied movements in the KOSPI 200 index reflect the dynamic nature of the Korean stock market, with companies experiencing both gains and losses in their stock prices.
