Seoul: Green Cross Corp. on Wednesday reported its first-quarter net profit of 22.3 billion won (US$15.7 million), turning from a loss of 30.7 billion won a year earlier. Operating profit for the January-March period was 8 billion won, compared with a loss of 15 billion won a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue rose 7.6 percent to 383.8 billion won.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the operating profit was 70.2 percent higher than the average estimate, based on a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. The estimate of net profit was not available.
