Washington: The United States has condemned North Korea's recent ballistic missile launches, urging the nation to cease further "unlawful" and "destabilizing" activities, according to a statement from the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the statement was released following North Korea's launch of multiple short-range ballistic missiles toward the East Sea, marking its first such activity since March. The command emphasized its ongoing consultations with South Korea, Japan, and other regional allies and partners in response to the situation.
The U.S. Indo-Pacific Command reiterated America's firm stance against North Korea's actions, calling on the regime to stop its missile launches. The command also reassured that the United States remains committed to the defense of South Korea and Japan, describing these commitments as "ironclad."
The situation continues to be monitored closely by the U.S., as it collaborates with regional partners to address the security challenges posed by North Korea's missile activities.
