Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a varied performance with significant movements from major companies. Notably, Samsung Biologics experienced a substantial increase, closing at 1,100,000, up by 73,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several other companies also showed positive trends. Hyundai M and F Insurance rose by 750 to close at 22,550, while KCC saw a gain of 12,500, ending at 270,500. SKBP increased by 3,300, reaching 92,500, and KakaoBank climbed by 650 to finish at 22,900. KRAFTON also saw an uptick, closing at 386,000, up by 6,500, while HD Hyundai rose by 1,800, ending the day at 84,200.
Conversely, some companies experienced declines. HL Mando dropped by 150 to close at 34,100, and SBHC decreased by 230, ending at 19,110. TaihanElecWire fell by 140, closing at 12,210, and ORION Holdings saw a reduction of 130, ending at 18,750. Doosan Bobcat also faced a decline, closing at 48,000, down by 250, while Netmarble decreased by 100 to finish at 51,400.
Other notable movements included Hyundai Electric, which dropped by 1,500 to 375,000, and ORION, which saw a significant decrease of 5,200, closing at 111,700. On a positive note, Hanwha Systems increased by 1,700, reaching 46,500, and APR climbed by the same amount to close at 114,800.
