Seoul: K-pop girl group TWICE will unleash its fourth full-length album, "This is For," on July 11, the group's agency, JYP Entertainment, announced Wednesday. This release marks the band's return to the studio album scene after three years and eight months, following their third full-length album, which dropped in November 2021.
According to Yonhap News Agency, JYP Entertainment unveiled a teaser video for the new album. The video features the nine members of TWICE in identical blue stage costumes, with the word "Four" prominently displayed on the front of their skirts, hinting at the album's theme or concept.
TWICE, which debuted in October 2015, has established itself as a leading third-generation K-pop girl group. They have released numerous hit singles, including "Cheer Up," "TT," "Likey," and "What is Love?". These tracks have contributed to their widespread popularity and success both domestically and internationally.
The group achieved a significant milestone last year by topping the Billboard 200 main albums chart for the first time with their 13th EP, "With YOU-th." This accomplishment marked a new high point in their career, showcasing their global appeal and fanbase.
Following the release of "This is For," TWICE is set to headline Lollapalooza Chicago on August 2. This major music festival in the United States will provide the group with a platform to present their new album to an international audience, further solidifying their status in the global music scene.
