KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance as Major Stocks Show Varied Movements

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixed performance in the latest trading session, with several major stocks experiencing significant fluctuations. Among the notable gainers, NAVER saw its stock price rise by 3,900 to close at 187,700, while Kakao increased by 750 to reach 41,700. HYUNDAIDEPTST also saw a slight increase of 200, closing at 69,900.

According to Yonhap News Agency, a number of companies faced downward movements. NCsoft's stock decreased by 300, closing at 157,300, and KIH saw a drop of 900, settling at 99,300. HANATOUR SERVICE also experienced a decline, with its stock falling by 100 to 50,400. COSMAX recorded a more substantial drop of 5,000, ending at 202,500.

Despite the declines, certain stocks showed upward trends. KIWOOM's stock rose by 1,900, reaching 150,100, while HD Hyundai Infracore saw an increase of 120, closing at 8,730. HANMISemi experienced a rise of 2,100, bringing its stock price to 84,400. Other companies with increased stock prices include LGELECTRONICS, which went up by 2,200 to 71,200, and SK Innovation, which saw a significant rise of 4,800 to close at 86,800.

The trading session also saw declines in stocks such as Hanwha Ocean, which fell by 2,300 to 76,500, and KEPCO KPS, which dropped by 1,400 to 43,750. KEPCO E and C experienced a decrease of 3,500, closing at 61,700, while Hyundai Rotem's stock fell by 1,900 to 139,300. LIG Nex1 saw a notable decline of 17,000, ending the session at 428,500.

Other stocks with positive movements included LG H and H, which increased by 1,000 to 325,500, and LGCHEM, which saw a rise of 11,000, closing at 193,900. KOLON IND also experienced an increase, with its stock rising by 1,650 to 33,100.
