Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a day of mixed movements with several stocks experiencing gains while others saw declines. Notably, Hyundai Rotem closed at 156,100, marking an increase of 4,100. LG Electronics also saw a rise, closing at 71,300, up by 500. Meanwhile, L and F experienced a climb, closing at 56,000 with an increase of 2,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, financial and industrial sectors showed positive momentum. JB Financial Group closed at 19,170, up by 790, and KIH saw a significant rise, ending at 113,700 with an increase of 8,800. In the industrial sector, LIG Nex1 closed at 452,000, up by 4,500, and SK Innovation rose to 90,900, marking an increase of 3,200.
Despite the general upward trend, some stocks faced declines. Celltrion closed at 160,500, down by 500, and Daewoong Pharm decreased by 5,500, closing at 163,000. Hanmi Pharm also experienced a decline, closing at 299,000, down by 5,500.
Other notable performers included Hyundai Glovis, which rose to 113,200, up by 1,600, and Hana Financial Group, which closed at 74,500 with an increase of 4,500. Hanwha Life and Poongsan also posted gains, closing at 3,080 and 65,300, respectively.
In contrast, GKL and CS Wind saw declines, closing at 14,290 and 49,200, respectively. Meanwhile, Amorepacific experienced a slight decrease, ending at 134,100, down by 200.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a day of varied performances with financial and industrial stocks largely contributing to the gains observed.
