KORIBOR Rates Show Slight Decline in Some Terms

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) displayed minor fluctuations across various term offerings as reported by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information division of Yonhap News Agency, at 11:00 a.m.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week KORIBOR rate remained steady at 2.50%, showing no change from the previous session. The 1-month rate experienced a slight decrease, moving from 2.54% to 2.53%. Both the 2-month and 3-month rates saw minimal declines; the 2-month rate held at 2.56%, while the 3-month rate decreased from 2.59% to 2.58%.

Further analysis of the data revealed that the 6-month and 12-month KORIBOR rates also experienced slight decreases. Both rates decreased from 2.55% to 2.54%. These changes may reflect underlying conditions in the financial markets.

The adjustments in the KORIBOR rates are pivotal for financial institutions as they influence the interest rates applied to various financial products, impacting both lenders and borrowers in the South Korean financial market.
