Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) showed stability across most short-term lending periods in the latest update. The rates, which reflect the interest rates at which banks lend to one another, were reported at 11:00 a.m. local time.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week and 1-month KORIBOR remained unchanged at 2.50% and 2.53%, respectively. Similarly, the 3-month and 6-month rates held steady at 2.58% and 2.54%. However, the 2-month and 12-month rates experienced slight adjustments. The 2-month rate decreased from 2.56% to 2.55%, while the 12-month rate saw a minor drop from 2.54% to 2.53%.
This update indicates a period of relative stability in the interbank lending market, with only minor fluctuations observed in the longer-term rates. The unchanged short-term rates suggest consistent market conditions for the near future.
