Seoul: LG CNS Co., an information technology affiliate of South Korea's LG Electronics Inc., announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with U.S.-based robot software startup Skild AI. This move aims to bolster its robotics business.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LG CNS has also invested in Skild AI through LG Group's venture capital arm, LG Technology Ventures. However, the company has not disclosed the value of this investment. The collaboration is focused on developing advanced industrial AI humanoid robot solutions by utilizing Skild AI's core technology, a robotic foundation model that acts as the "brain" of robots.
Leveraging this technology, LG CNS aims to offer integrated AI humanoid robot services designed for multiple industrial sectors, such as smart factories and smart logistics. The company stated, "We will help our clients enhance their operations through intelligent AI humanoid robots and support them in achieving tangible business results."
Skild AI is engaged in the development of intelligent robot software applicable to both humanoid robots and quadruped walking robots.
