Seoul: Monday's closing prices on the Korea Stock Exchange showed mixed movements among KOSPI 200 stocks. Notable changes included significant declines for companies such as KCC and TaekwangInd, while others like SamyangFood and LG Corp. experienced gains.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KCC experienced a notable decline, closing at 304,500 KRW, representing a decrease of 9,500 KRW. TaekwangInd also saw a significant drop, closing at 1,086,000 KRW, down by 18,000 KRW. HyundaiMtr's shares fell to 201,500 KRW, a decrease of 8,500 KRW.
Other companies that experienced declines included SKC, which closed at 107,000 KRW, down by 4,600 KRW, and Miwon SC, which decreased by 4,700 KRW to close at 140,700 KRW. SamsungF and MIns also faced a decline, closing at 425,500 KRW, down by 3,000 KRW.
On the other hand, some companies saw gains. SamyangFood's stock increased by 21,000 KRW, closing at 1,328,000 KRW. LG Corp. also experienced an increase, with its stock rising by 4,300 KRW to close at 81,800 KRW. SK hynix saw a gain of 2,500 KRW, closing at 259,500 KRW.
Other notable gains included MIRAE ASSET SEC, which rose by 2,020 KRW to close at 21,550 KRW, and Nongshim, which increased by 2,500 KRW, closing at 397,000 KRW. HyundaiEng and Const also saw a modest increase, closing at 75,500 KRW, up by 200 KRW.
