KOSPI 200 Stock Movements Highlight Mixed Trends

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index, a benchmark for South Korea's stock market, experienced a day of mixed performances with notable fluctuations in the closing prices of various companies. Several key players in the index saw their stock prices shift upward or downward, reflecting diverse market dynamics.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp closed at 60,800, down by 1,400, while HMM rose to 23,550, marking an increase of 550. HYUNDAI WIA's stock decreased by 500, closing at 46,700. KumhoPetrochem's value dropped by 1,500 to 111,500. Mobis saw a significant decline, closing at 280,500, which is 11,000 down from the previous close.

HANWHA AEROSPACE recorded a decrease of 19,000, ending the day at 919,000. HDC HOLDINGS, on the other hand, experienced a minor rise, closing at 22,550, up by 50. S-1 and Hanchem witnessed declines of 400 and 4,000, closing at 67,200 and 158,900, respectively. DWS also saw a decrease, ending at 30,750, down by 550.

KEPCO's stock fell by 850, closing at 28,250, while SamsungSecu rose significantly by 3,800, ending at 71,500. SKTelecom experienced a slight drop, closing at 56,100, down by 200. Hyundai Elevator and HankukCarbon showed contrasting trends, with the former decreasing by 1,700 to 83,500, and the latter increasing by 400 to 25,450.

Hanon Systems and SK closed at 3,050 and 195,800, down by 90 and 900, respectively. COWAY saw a decrease of 2,900, closing at 94,900. POSCO DX fell by 250, closing at 23,850, while LOTTE SHOPPING ended at 74,000, down by 1,000.

IBK's stock rose by 130, closing at 17,420, whereas DONGSUH fell by 700, ending at 26,350. SamsungE and A increased by 200, closing at 22,600. SAMSUNG C and T saw a slight decline, closing at 161,600, down by 300. PanOcean and Samsung CARD experienced gains, closing at 3,935 and 49,050, up by 25 and 750, respectively.

CheilWorldwide and LG Uplus also rose, closing at 20,350 and 13,440, with increases of 50 and 220, respectively. SAMSUNG LIFE and KT and G ended the day down by 2,800 and 1,800, closing at 124,400 and 123,700, respectively. LG Display and Kangwonland saw declines of 210 and 90, closing at 9,010 and 17,950, respectively.

NAVER and Kakao posted gains, closing at 290,000 and 67,600, up by 20,500 and 1,000, respectively. NCsoft and KIWOOM also saw positive movements, closing at 194,200 and 220,000, with increases of 3,800 and 6,500, respectively. Meanwhile, HANATOUR SERVICE and COSMAX experienced declines, closing at 54,200 and 270,000, down by 1,200 and 9,500, respectively.
