Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed performance, with several major stocks witnessing declines. Notable losses were observed in Korea Aerospace, which fell by 3,500, and SK, which dropped by 5,900. Other significant declines included Doosan, down by 8,000, and Samsung SDS, which decreased by 1,600.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies also experienced gains. KorZinc saw a substantial increase of 51,000, while Hanwha rose by 4,500. Other companies that recorded positive movements included HD Hyundai Mipo and Doosan Enerbility, which went up by 1,100 each. Meanwhile, Samsung Card increased by 250, and KT rose by 2,000.
The data further indicated that Hanchem and CJ Logistics experienced upward movements, rising by 1,400 and 200 respectively. However, companies like KEPCO and Hyundai Elevator faced declines, with KEPCO dropping by 1,350 and Hyundai Elevator by 1,800.
Overall, the KOSPI 200's closing prices presented a varied picture, reflecting both upward and downward trends across different sectors. While some companies managed to post gains, the day was marked by significant losses in major stocks.
