KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements as Key Stocks Experience Gains and Losses

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a blend of upward and downward movements in its latest trading session, with several prominent companies witnessing fluctuations in their stock prices. Notably, KIWOOM, Hyundai Rotem, and SK Innovation emerged as significant gainers, while companies such as HANMISemi and KEPCO E and C experienced declines.

According to Yonhap News Agency, KIWOOM's stock price increased by 5,500 to close at 234,500. Hyundai Rotem also saw a substantial rise, gaining 4,500 to reach 201,000. SK Innovation's share price went up by 4,100, closing at 126,500. Meanwhile, DongwonInd and HANAFINANCIALGR also recorded gains, with their prices climbing by 3,650 and 2,600, respectively.

In contrast, HANMISemi experienced a loss of 5,300, bringing its stock price down to 96,700. KEPCO E and C saw a decrease of 4,900, closing at 99,400. Similarly, LIG Nex1 and POONGSAN reported declines, with their prices dropping by 2,000 and 5,000, respectively. Other companies such as NAVER and GKL also noted decreases in their stock values.

Overall, the trading session highlighted a diverse range of performances among various sectors. Companies like HanmiPharm and HYUNDAIGLOVIS benefited from the positive trend, with increases of 1,000 and 1,600, respectively. On the other hand, utilities and semiconductor sectors faced challenges, leading to declines in some stocks.
