Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed varied movements with numerous stocks experiencing upward trends. Major players like NCsoft and Hanatour Service saw significant rises in their stock prices. NCsoft closed at 209,500, marking an increase of 5,000, while Hanatour Service's stock appreciated by 1,200 to reach 57,200.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Cosmax and Kiwoom also enjoyed upward trends. Cosmax's stock rose by 6,500, closing at 258,500, and Kiwoom's stock increased by 13,500 to 227,500. Hanwha Ocean saw an appreciation of 2,800, ending the day at 76,700. In contrast, HD Hyundai Infracore experienced a slight decline, dropping by 70 to close at 11,590.
Other significant movements include HANMISemi, which rose by 1,700 to reach 96,000, and DWEC, which saw a modest increase of 65, closing at 4,100. KEPCO KPS remained stable at 55,500. LG H and H and LGCHEM had mixed fortunes, with LG H and H rising by 2,000 to 324,000, while LGCHEM fell by 4,000 to 254,500.
KEPCO E and C and ShinhanGroup reported notable gains. KEPCO E and C climbed by 2,400 to 91,900, and ShinhanGroup surged by 5,100 to 71,100. However, HYUNDAI ROTEM and LGELECTRONICS faced declines, with HYUNDAI ROTEM decreasing by 100 to 184,400 and LGELECTRONICS dropping by 500 to 73,600.
