KOSPI 200 Sees Varied Movements as Major Companies Experience Gains and Losses

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed mixed results as companies registered both increases and declines in their stock prices. Significant gains were observed for several major players, while others experienced downturns.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Kiwoom recorded a notable increase, closing at 232,500 with a rise of 5,000. Hanwha Ocean's shares also advanced, reaching 78,100, marking an uptick of 1,400. HD Hyundai Infracore and Dentium saw positive movements, closing at 11,860 and 70,700 respectively, with increases of 270 and 8,100. KI and Daewoong Pharm reported substantial increases, closing at 151,800 and 162,700, with rises of 8,300 and 8,800 respectively. Hyundai Rotem closed strongly at 195,700, up by 11,300, while LIG Nex1 achieved the highest growth, closing at 569,000 with a remarkable increase of 45,000.

In contrast, some companies faced declines. HANMISemi experienced a decrease, closing at 94,600, down by 1,400. Shinhan Group and KEPCO KPS both saw decreases, closing at 69,800 and 55,600, down by 1,300 and 100 respectively. LG H and H and KB Financial Group also reported declines, closing at 322,000 and 118,400, with decreases of 2,000 and 3,600 respectively.

Other notable movements included LGCHEM, which rose to 260,000 with an increase of 5,500, and SK Innovation, which saw an increase of 3,300, closing at 116,500. Meanwhile, Poongsan and KDHC reported increases of 5,600 and 2,500, closing at 127,800 and 90,500 respectively.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a varied performance among its listed companies, with notable gains in some sectors and downturns in others.
