Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a variety of stock movements, with several companies experiencing significant gains while others recorded declines. Among the notable gainers were LS, which increased by 6,900 to reach 191,100, and HD Hyundai Mipo, which rose by 8,200 to 185,500. In contrast, Korea Zinc saw a notable decline of 26,000, closing at 853,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Yuhan's stock rose by 2,800, ending at 109,200, while Samsung Electronics experienced a decline of 1,000, closing at 60,400. NHIS improved by 950, reaching 21,850, whereas Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. decreased by 4,900, closing at 170,100. Dongwon Industries and LS Electric also reported gains, closing at 50,500 and 272,500, respectively.
HD Hyundai Heavy Industries saw its stock rise by 5,500, ending at 395,000. GC Corp and GS E and C both recorded modest gains, with GC Corp ending at 133,500 and GS E and C at 21,400. KPIC also saw an increase of 2,100, closing at 103,400, whereas SKC fell by 2,700 to 101,400.
Mirae Asset Securities rose by 1,400 to 22,100, while GS Retail saw a smaller increase, ending at 17,380. OTOKI experienced a gain of 5,500, reaching 405,000, and Hanmi Science rose by 3,700, ending at 45,550. Conversely, Samsung Electronics Mechanical reported a decrease of 1,300, closing at 135,400.
HITEJINRO and Hanwha Life both saw gains, ending at 21,650 and 3,755, respectively. Lotte had a significant increase of 6,100, closing at 35,200. CJ and Daewoong also recorded gains, ending at 161,300 and 27,200, respectively.
Hanwha's stock rose by 3,400 to 92,300, and SBHC saw a small increase, closing at 32,300. Taihan Electric Wire improved by 330, reaching 16,080. Hyundai Marine and Fire Insurance experienced a slight decline, ending at 27,550, while Daesang increased by 150, closing at 23,250.
ORION Holdings ended at 24,500, with an increase of 950. HDKSOE saw a gain of 7,000, closing at 327,500. Samsung Heavy Industries rose by 450, ending at 17,770, and S-Oil increased by 1,800, reaching 63,500. LG Innotek ended at 148,600, with an increase of 600.
Lotte Chemical Corp remained unchanged at 66,500, while HMM increased by 700, closing at 24,750. Hyundai WIA saw a gain of 300, ending at 47,400.
