KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Notable Gains in Tech and Aerospace Sectors

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed performance, with several companies posting significant gains while others faced declines. Among the notable performers, LG Innotek and Samsung SDS saw substantial increases in their stock prices, closing at 157,900 and 176,500, respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LG Innotek rose by 9,300, while Samsung SDS gained 10,000. In the aerospace sector, Hanwha Aerospace closed at 853,000, up by 3,000, and Hyundai WIA also experienced a rise, closing at 50,700 with a 3,300 increase. Other companies that saw gains included Samsung C and T, which increased by 7,200 to close at 177,900, and SK, which ended the day at 230,000 after a 6,000 increase.

Meanwhile, some companies experienced declines. KEPCO's stock fell by 300 to 37,250, and Korea Aerospace saw a decrease of 200, closing at 86,700. Among the losers, Doosan Enerbility and KT and G also faced declines, with their stocks down by 1,300 and 1,800, respectively.

In other movements, S-Oil and KumhoPetrochem both saw modest increases, closing at 64,400 and 122,600, respectively. HMM and S-1, however, experienced drops, with HMM closing 50 down at 24,700 and S-1 decreasing by 600 to 71,400. Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a varied performance across different sectors and companies.
