KOSPI 200 Stocks Witness Mixed Movements as L and F Surges

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange presented a varied landscape of performances at Friday's close. Key players like L and F exhibited significant upward momentum, closing at 58,000 KRW, marking a notable increase of 5,900 KRW. Other stocks, such as Doosan and Samyang Food, experienced declines, closing at 559,000 KRW and 1,470,000 KRW, respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the trading session revealed a mixed bag of gains and declines among the KOSPI 200 constituents. Kia Corp. and Hyundai Steel were among the major gainers, with Kia Corp. rising by 700 KRW to close at 100,800 KRW and Hyundai Steel increasing by 1,950 KRW to end at 35,000 KRW. Conversely, stocks like CJ and KCC faced downturns, with CJ dropping by 4,900 KRW to 159,000 KRW and KCC falling by 10,000 KRW to 357,000 KRW.

Several stocks remained stagnant, such as HyundaiMtr and POSCO INTERNATIONAL, which closed at 208,000 KRW and 51,500 KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, Hanwha and LG Corp. saw declines, with Hanwha decreasing by 1,400 KRW to 92,100 KRW and LG Corp. dropping by 1,500 KRW to 82,500 KRW.

Overall, the day's trading activity reflected a series of individual stock fluctuations, contributing to the dynamic nature of the KOSPI 200 index. The market's varied performance underscores the ongoing volatility and investor sentiment within the South Korean stock market.
