Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showcased a mixed performance, with notable fluctuations marking the trading session. While some companies recorded substantial gains, others faced declines in their closing prices. Among the top performers, CJ and APR stood out with significant upward movements.
According to Yonhap News Agency, CJ experienced a substantial increase of 15,900, bringing its closing price to 174,900. Similarly, APR saw a notable rise of 7,900, closing at 174,200. Other companies in the green included Meritz Financial, which rose by 4,800 to close at 123,100, and HD Hyundai Electric, which gained 8,000 to reach a closing price of 450,500.
In contrast, several companies faced declines. Samsung Biologics saw a notable decrease of 15,000, closing at 1,042,000. Krafton also experienced a drop, falling by 6,500 to settle at 347,000. Additionally, Hanwha Vision and HDHMS recorded declines of 2,000 and 4,300, respectively.
Other significant movements included HanmiPharm, which decreased by 5,500 to close at 280,000, and ISU Specialty Chemical, which fell by 1,100 to 41,550. Meanwhile, companies like Netmarble and SKCHEM remained unchanged, closing at 61,700 and 72,800, respectively.
