Seoul: LG Display Co. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 890.8 billion won (US$652.1 million), turning from a loss of 470.8 billion won a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it continued to post an operating loss of 116 billion won for the April-June period, compared with a loss of 93.7 billion won a year earlier. Revenue fell 16.7 percent to 5.58 trillion won.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the operating loss was 1.7 percent lower than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
