Seoul: Daewoo Engineering and Construction (E and C) Co. reported a net loss of 43 billion won (US$31 million) for the second quarter, a significant drop from a profit of 96.5 billion won in the same period the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the quarter was 82.2 billion won, down from 104.8 billion won a year earlier. The company's sales also experienced a decline, falling by 19.4 percent to 2.27 trillion won.
