Seoul: Thursday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange witnessed a varied performance among the KOSPI 200 stocks. ORION Holdings saw an increase, closing at 22,350 KRW, up by 350 KRW. Similarly, Hanwha and CJ experienced gains, closing at 99,800 KRW and 155,200 KRW, respectively. Hanwha recorded a rise of 4,800 KRW, while CJ increased by 2,300 KRW.
According to Yonhap News Agency, some companies faced declines. SamsungF and MIns dropped by 3,500 KRW, closing at 440,500 KRW. KCC and HyundaiMtr also saw significant decreases, closing at 370,000 KRW and 213,000 KRW, respectively, down by 8,000 KRW and 10,000 KRW.
Meanwhile, SK hynix and SamyangFood reported notable increases, with SK hynix up by 10,000 KRW to 273,500 KRW and SamyangFood rising by 80,000 KRW to reach 1,442,000 KRW. On the other hand, SeAH Steel Holdings and TaekwangInd showed declines, closing at 202,000 KRW and 1,005,000 KRW, respectively, with decreases of 15,000 KRW and 25,000 KRW.
Other stocks such as HyundaiEng and Const and MiwonComcl posted gains, closing at 67,500 KRW and 165,600 KRW, respectively. Conversely, POSCO INTERNATIONAL and POSCO FUTURE M experienced drops, closing at 48,800 KRW and 142,500 KRW, down by 3,700 KRW and 5,100 KRW.
The session highlighted a mixed performance with stocks like Nongshim and LOTTE Fine Chem showing upward trends, closing at 387,000 KRW and 43,000 KRW, while others like SGBC and Yuhan faced declines.
