Seoul: POSCO International Corp. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net profit of 90.5 billion won (US$65 million), marking a decrease of 52.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating income for the April-June period experienced a 10.3 percent decline on-year, amounting to 313.7 billion won. Furthermore, the company's revenue saw a slight drop of 1.7 percent, totaling 8.14 trillion won.
This substantial decrease in net profit highlights the financial challenges faced by POSCO International during the second quarter. The company has not specified the reasons behind the decline in its financial performance.
